Deviousness |
It also reminds me that I used to do stuff like this many many years ago. But my actual typography was done with either a manual typewriter or an IBM electric. Told ya, many many years ago.
For other times I would start collecting newspapers and magazines and would spend weeks cutting and collecting. More weeks deciding what to do with them. And then creating some sort of picture out of either related or unrelated clippings. One time I grew bored with an old kitchen table, so I covered the entire top with scenic clippings, creating a related theme. Even did the two inserts to the table. Months of work. Then coated it several times with a medium to help disguise the fact it was created from clippings and to give it depth. I forget what it was. And I finished with a thick vinyl. I loved that table. But during the move thereafter it was irreparably damaged. So it eventually got junked.
You remind me that I might want to try some topography art again. This time all done in software. I don't believe I have the patience with scissors and glue like I once had.
